📖 Ephesians 4:32 “…forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
One of the most important concepts of forgiveness that we often forget:
Forgiveness is more for yourself than for the other person. There are sometimes cases where the other person has already forgotten what happened, but we are still struggling with those feelings that we carry with us. The bitter feeling grows bigger and bigger within us over time.
Actually, we should always follow God’s example and be merciful to those around us. It is our duty to have compassion for others, have their best interests at heart, and act sincerely towards them. See them from Jesus’ perspective.
📌 We must forgive others because God has already forgiven us.
🙏 Prayer: Dear Lord, sometimes it is incredibly difficult to forgive others. They make me angry, sad, and I am so frustrated. Lord, forgive me of my sins and please help me to be more like You and also forgive others. Amen.
🔥 Challenge: Stop and think of 2 people you can forgive today. Pray about it and release them – it will also do you good to put that burden down.
