📖 Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart.”
Owning a cell phone can be very demanding sometimes, especially if you like to chat with your friends and do not want to miss out on everything that is going on on social media. All these things can keep us so busy that precious time with Jesus is lost, and before long, our phone is no. 1 on the list… and no longer Jesus.
You can use your phone to honor Jesus by reading the Bible on it and perhaps sending encouragement to someone who is going through a difficult time.
Think of it this way: When you are in a car on the way to an unknown place, you use the GPS (Maps) on your phone to get there. In the same way, God is our direction indicator or compass. He helps us choose the right direction.
📌 Live close to God, listen to His voice above all other influences – yes, even your phone.
🙏 Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to stay focused on You, to talk to You regularly, so that I can be blessed with wisdom and insight. My phone is not more important to me than You. Help me to remember that. Amen.
