📖 Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’”
What is the most important secret you can discover? Jesus Himself leads us to the answer. The way Jesus spoke to people, the way He looked at them, and the way He made them think and feel about themselves helps us to discover the secret.
The most important gift people received when their paths crossed with Jesus… was the discovery that they are loved.
Jesus sends you on your way with two invitations: 1. See yourself the way Jesus sees you, and 2. Begin to look at others the way Jesus looks at them. You were born to live out Jesus’ love… nothing is more important.
📌 All people should be able to see Jesus’ love in my words and actions.
🙏 Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to be more like Jesus today. Help me to look at myself and others with gentle eyes, and when other people look at me with eyes full of love today, remind me that it is Jesus Himself looking at me like that! Amen.
🔥 Challenge: When you wake up, look in the mirror and say: “I am God’s beloved child!” Before you go to bed tonight, think back: “Where did you experience Jesus’ love through other people today?”
