We all know we are unique in our talents and not everyone has the same calling, but why do we all have a calling?
God has blessed us with talents, passions or gifts so that we can help each other and serve each other. Think of e.g. a doctor. People who are blessed with enough intelligence to remember so much knowledge about the human body and share it with others by helping them with their health. Someone else has a heart for the elderly.
That feeling inside you should bring you to action to make a positive difference in someone’s life. Your actions should reflect God’s love and presence to others. We all must take it upon ourselves to serve others and make the world better.
Even if you feel discouraged and may think what you are doing is not appreciated, keep doing what the Lord puts on your heart. He works in you and through you to meet the needs of others. You got a special gift from the Holy Spirit. Realise this and use it so that others can thank God for being involved in their lives by using you to make a difference for them.
What Is My Calling? How Does My Calling Make a Difference Today?
Prayer: Lord, help us not to become arrogant if we notice we have received a special gift from You. Please help us make other people’s lives easier by using our gifts as You guide us. Amen.
Challenge: Today consider how you can make someone’s life easier by using your gift to serve them.
