‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong.’ – Proverbs 3:5-7
Have you ever felt lost, frustrated, or even exhausted? Proverbs 3 has an instruction and a promise for us. Firstly, the instruction that we should trust with all our heart, not just parts of it. We can’t just decide to give God bits and pieces of ourselves; it is either ALL in or ALL out.
Secondly, the promise\ that when we start surrendering our whole being to Him, including our thoughts and feelings, only then will we experience a sense of peace and direction because surrendering is a way of telling God you trust Him. You don’t have to understand everything He does, but you have to trust that He knows your path, and if you acknowledge Him in this, He will make your paths straight or help you walk the straight and narrow.
Start acknowledging GOD for who HE is and surrender your heart, whether it is thanking HIM for the good times or asking for strength in the tough times (Philippians 4:13). Remember His instruction and His promise.
Trust = Let go, Let God
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that You give me the courage to surrender my all to YOU every day. Help me to trust in YOUR plan for my life. Take control of my thoughts and feelings so I won’t lean on my understanding. I love YOU so much. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge: Listen to worship songs each morning or evening. Meditate on the bible verse in your daily devotions. Tell God about your thoughts and feelings, then say out loud that you surrender your all to Him.
May this year be Amazing!
