John 3:16 MSG “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.”
Imagine that you receive the best gift from a person that you don’t exactly see often AND that the gift costs him/her a lot of money. Yet, he/she still decides to get it for you despite the cost. Why? He/she has so much love for you that they don’t mind the expense as long as you accept and enjoy the gift.
It’s the same between us and God.
Jesus’ life is like a gift that God has given us. God gave Jesus, His only Son, to die for our sins, to cleanse us from our wrong deeds so that we as believers can have a real relationship with Him AND receive eternal life. He did it because of love.
We all have access to eternal life if we just confess and say, “Jesus is Lord.”
Prayer: Lord Jesus, today we pray for an unnatural stirring in our lives so we may follow the righteous path and have a good understanding of what’s right and wrong. Guide us and protect us through this day. Amen.
Challenge: Close your eyes and ask the Holy Spirit to show you what Jesus sees when He looks at you. You are His beloved child who is worth the ultimate cost!
