2 Corinthians 5:18-19
18…and God gave us the work of telling everyone about the peace we can have with him. 19 … And he gave us this message of peace.
If you receive good news, who is the first person you tell about it? Many of us will tell our parents, then friends, then others. We are called to share God’s good news of reconciliation with everyone.
Isn’t it great that God wants to use us to bring peace in the world? Not only did God make peace between us and Himself, but He also gives us a role to play so we can become part of His great plan to restore peace in the world. God loves us so much that He entrusts us with such an extraordinary responsibility.
As we look around us, we know reconciliation is needed. Maybe you need to forgive a friend for something you are holding against them. Perhaps you need to bring peace between two other people and help them restore peace in their relationship. But we can and must also tell others about the reconciliation work that God did to send Jesus into the world.
Tell of God’s reconciliation!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for using me to bring restoration to the world around me. Help me to be courageous enough to tell others about the reconciliation you bring… Amen.
Challenge: Do one of the following: 1. Try to bring peace to a relationship and ask for forgiveness if you have hurt someone. 2. Try bring peace between two other friends. 3. Tell someone of God’s plan to reconcile the world.
