Acts 1:8 MSG “And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
The other day I was sharing a message at a school where I let the kids do a “trust fall”. This exercise involves standing on a stage, falling backward, and trusting that someone will catch you. As I watched them take turns, a thought struck me: It’s easy to trust people you know, but so much harder when you don’t. At that moment, I knew exactly what I had to do.
I didn’t know the school kids, so for the lesson on trust to really work I had to do a stage-dive right there! It’s the same in our relationship with God – the more and deeper we get to know Him, the easier it will be to trust Him.
Are you worried, tired or stressed? Fall into God’s arms today.
Prayer: Lord, sometimes I doubt and other times I’m just plain stubborn. Today, I want to choose to fall into Your arms. I choose to trust You above all else, and to use the power You give me by your Spirit. Amen.
Challenge: Make a list of everything you are trusting God for. Relax and give it to Him. (Fall into His arms with trust)
