”And serve each other according to the gift each person has received, as good managers of God’s diverse gifts.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Have you noticed that it’s much easier to give when you have plenty? If you have a whole bag of apples, you easily share one with a friend. When you only have one apple left it gets a little harder to open your hand.
God gives each of us a suitable gift. He wants us to use that gift to serve other people. Some of us still don’t know exactly what gift He gave us, but even your personality is part of how He made you.
If you are a very patient person, use it to show people that God is always patient. Every insignificant part of you made by Him is good. Share this with those around you.
Serve Others
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for all the gifts You’ve given me, even though I’m still discovering them. I want to share what You have given me with other people. Align my heart with Yours and open my hands to serve easily. Amen.
Challenge: If you are aware of some of your gifts, make a list of how you can use them this week to serve others. If you don’t know yet, think about one of your good qualities — it’s one of the gifts God has given you.
