📖 Jonah 2:2 “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me”.
The name ‘Jonah’ is synonymous with the disobedient prophet who ends up in the belly of a fish. And why? Jonah follows his own mind. The Lord sends him to Nineveh, but he goes in the opposite direction. And in the stinky, pitch‑dark belly of a fish comes Jonah’s prayer: ‘Help me, Lord.’ God listens to Jonah’s prayers from the deep hidden place and saves him!
When you read the whole story of Jonah, you’ll see there are more miracles. It’s not just Jonah who gets a second chance. The entire city of Nineveh, also turns to the Lord for salvation.
📌 It is never too late to ask God for help – God will always give a second chance.
🙏 Prayer: Lord, sometimes I feel as though it’s dark all around me. Remind me today that nothing is impossible for You—even when I stray. Thank You, Lord, for always seeking me and for wanting to give me another chance. Amen.”
🔥 Challenge: Jonah was underwater for three days—in the belly of a fish! When you drink something today (soda, coffee, etc.), tell the Lord where your dark places are. Ask for His help.
