“Seasons” in Your Life

Psalm 1:1-3 MSG How well God must like you— you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night.  You’re a tree replanted in Eden,  bearing fresh fruit every month,  never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

A fig tree is a tree that sheds its leaves in autumn and grows new ones again in spring. In winter, the tree is bare and looks quite unattractive without its leaves. Its branches become so hard that you can snap them off with your hand. But when spring arrives, these branches soften and become flexible again. Then the tree starts to bud, forming new leaves, and soon after, the fruit comes!

It’s the same with us…

Each season is part of God’s plan in our lives. During the autumn and winter of our lives, it might feel like nothing is working out. But this is God’s time of preparation for us. It’s a time of isolation and digging deeper into His Word. During this time, He prunes us of many things. Winter might feel long, but don’t lose hope! This is when the Lord is shaping and strengthening you for growth. Then comes summer, and you shine brightly, full of fruit!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for every season in my life. Thank You that I can trust that You are in control of my life. Amen.

Challenge: Remember this: When you feel anxious or afraid, it’s not a sign of disbelief; it’s simply because you don’t know what’s coming next—you’re still young! When those moments of fear come, be still and talk to the Lord about it.
