‘Therefore, everyone was condemned through one failure, and everyone received God’s life-giving approval through one verdict.’ – Romans 5:18
Why did Adam and Eve eat that fruit? Now all of us have sins that we just cannot get rid of! Unfortunately, I think, if any of us were in Adam and Eve’s shoes, we would probably have made the same mistake.
Our sin is not a surprise to God. He knows that we are weak and inclined to sin. The good news is that each one of us can heal our relationship with God. Each time we make a mistake we must admit it and earnestly ask God to take away that sin. We can’t remove it ourselves.
It requires humility to admit your faults every time you do something wrong. However, in that moment God truly frees you and if you ask Him, then He will also help you to choose the right path.
Trust in God’s guidance in what’s right or wrong and obey Him.
Put Back That Apple!
Prayer: Lord, on my own I can’t do what’s right. Please forgive everything I do, small or big, where I choose to do what I want instead of following You. Cleanse me and let me be like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
