Psalm 27:1 MSG “Light, space, zest— that’s God! So, with Him on my side I’m fearless, afraid of no one and nothing.”
This testimony was written by a missionary who served in refugee camps:
“It was a day I’ll never forget. Sudden chaos broke out. Police vehicles stormed into the camp, sirens blaring. Panic spread like wildfire. People ran in every direction, desperate to avoid being caught. Many feared being forced back to Syria, a place they had fled to escape unimaginable horrors.
I felt helpless. The enormity of the situation weighed on me, and I could only bow my head in silent prayer. The chaos continued, and the fear lingered. Yet, in the middle of it all, I felt God’s peace, an assurance that He was present, even in the darkness.”
Peace doesn’t come from controlling the storm; it comes from trusting the One who holds the storm in His hands.
Prayer: God, I know that life’s storms come in many forms. Whether it’s fear, uncertainty, or overwhelming circumstances, I often focus on the chaos instead of You – The One who is with me in it. Amen
Challenge: Wear a bracelet/rubber band around your arm today and notice when you worry. Every time you stress, move it to your other wrist, and pray for peace.
