Galatians 1:6-7
6… So I am amazed that you are turning away so quickly and believing something different than the Good News. 7Really, there is no other Good News…
I’m sure you’ve seen it before: A friend who used to love God, but made friends that drew their attention away from Jesus. Maybe you are in that same space where everything else just feels a little better than following Jesus.
Jesus loves us so much. Yes, He loves you so much. Many people think we can find joy and happiness without Jesus. They live as if to say, ‘No, thank you, Jesus, I’m okay. Leave your love and let me do my own thing’. But we need Him. Without Jesus, we cannot have a real relationship with God.
I know it’s not always easy to believe that God looks out for us, especially if bad things happen. And often we do not have answers to these things, but God’s heart still aches every day to pull you closer to Himself, to comfort us, and to teach us that life is better with Jesus.
Life is better with Jesus!
Prayer: Lord, there are many things that happen to me, tempting me to believe you are not with me. Help me to see you even in these times and to remember how wonderful Jesus is. Please don’t ever leave me, but help me to see Your goodness again every time my attention is diverted from You … Amen.
Challenge: Let’s be honest real quick… Is there something in your life that tempts you to believe that God is not there? Talk to God about it and share it with someone who loves you and whom you trust.
