💭 Reflect
Four days after Palm Sunday, the atmosphere in Jerusalem was tense. The religious leaders had been debating with Jesus and the crowds were getting fired up. On Thursday, Jesus called His disciples together around the table for a meal. This became known as the Last Supper because Jesus was arrested later that very night! (We will cover that in tomorrow’s message)

“He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.””

• Jesus and His disciples gathered for a meal called ‘the Passover’. Read about the Passover in Exodus 12, when God saved the Israelites who were marked by the blood of a lamb. Have you heard people call Jesus the Lamb of God and talk about His blood cleansing us? 
• Keeping all of this in mind, how did Jesus become the sacrifice for our sins?
