Integrity is often used casually, but what lies beneath this word’s surface? Integrity is intimately linked with honesty. It demands honesty towards others and, perhaps more importantly, honesty with oneself.
Can you recall a moment when you stumbled upon money at school and chose to turn it in at the office? Beyond any recognition or reward you might have received, remember that profound sense of pride and joy that welled up within you? It’s a feeling that lingers far longer than anything you could purchase with that money.
Living honourably and with unwavering integrity brings great joy to the Lord, filling us with joy in return.
Joy in Integrity
Prayer: Dear Lord, I recognise that honesty brings You great joy. Today, please grant me the strength to make righteous choices and uphold my integrity consistently. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge: The next time you come upon money or something that doesn’t belong to you, make the conscious decision to return it. Remember, you’d hope for the same if the roles were reversed. What awaits you in the realm of integrity is far more valuable than any fleeting gain. Blessings abound.
