I’M ALONE. HOW CAN I FEEL PART OF A GROUP OF CHRISTIANS?
“It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough!” – Ecclesiastes 4:9
“… For God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.” – Hebrews 13:5
They say one can be surrounded by many people and still feel profoundly alone, but you can also be completely alone without feeling lonely. Know only one thing: The Lord is always with you. You’re never alone!
Bible characters like David also felt alone at times. In Psalm 102:7, he says, “I am lonely: my life is like a giant heap of ash…” But then he says again in Psalm 16:8 so beautifully: “There is not a moment of the day that I do not remember the Lord. He’s the most important thing in my life. He’s always with me.”
The Lord doesn’t want His children to be alone. Psalm 68:7 says, “God takes up the lonely and makes them part of a family…” He wants you to be part of His family, to be with His children, and the Word says, “Two are better than one. If one falls, the other can help him up.” We all need someone to hold us up.
I’m Alone
Prayer: Lord, thank you that Your Word teaches me You are always with me. Please make me part of your family today. Amen.
Challenge: I want to invite you today to reach out to people who serve the Lord, whether it’s a Sunday school, a church, a Youth group, a Bible study group, or just a Christian group at your school. Join them and become part of God’s family! You will never be alone again!
