‘You Gentiles by birth—called “the uncircumcised” by the Jews, who call themselves the circumcised (which refers to what men do to their bodies)—remember what you were in the past. At that time you were apart from Christ. You were foreigners and did not belong to God’s chosen people. You had no part in the covenants, which were based on God’s promises to his people, and you lived in this world without hope and without God. But now, in union with Christ Jesus you, who used to be far away, have been brought near by the blood of Christ.’ – Ephesians 2:11-13
Before recognising yourself as a child of God, it’s crucial to acknowledge that you were once an outsider. Sin separated us from the Lord, leaving us with little hope. We were truly lost.
However, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross liberated us, granting us a new chance to become part of His family. We now belong to Him, which is incredibly exciting! But the question is, are you truly living it? Just as I need your house key to enter your home, Jesus’ death grants us access to the Lord’s presence.
We are given another opportunity in life. It’s essential to live in the presence of the Lord, getting to know Him intimately and basking in the boundless beauty of His love. Allow Him to be your guide and lead you on straight paths. Live purposefully with Him.
Take pride in being a child of His.
