💭 Reflect
One of the biggest moves you’ll ever make is choosing to walk through life with Jesus. But even before you decided, He already chose to step into your world. He’s right there side-by-side with you through every high and low, simply because He loves you. Jesus hasn’t arrived just now; He’s actually been walking with you this whole time.

📖 John 1:14
“The Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”

❔ Questions

• Jesus is closer to you than you think. How would your actions and your life look if you lived as though Jesus had moved into your neighborhood?
• Who is there in your circle of friends or your neighborhood with whom you want to share this good news from John 1, that Jesus chose to live among us? Keep an eye out; maybe Jesus is sending someone across your path…

Who are the people who remind you that Jesus is near? Say thank you to that person for allowing you to see Jesus in them.

• John begins his Gospel almost like the first words of Genesis regarding the creation of the world. In John 1, it is as if God comes even closer to creation. How do you experience God in the world around you?
• What does it say about who God is, to hear that God chooses to become part of the world and your life?
• There is a Bible translation of John 1:14 that sounds like this: “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.” How does that make you think about Jesus living in your neighborhood?
