In Psalm 119, David writes how deeply he relies on the Word of God and how significant it is to him. As I read this, I realised that I may not need it as much as he does, or at least, I may be fooling myself into thinking that I don’t.
We often go through our days without considering the wisdom found in God’s Word. In times of trouble, we turn to our parents for guidance. In times of happiness, we share our joy with our friends. Yet, God desires us to share both our joys and sorrows with Him. Why? Because a close relationship with God brings us peace and fulfillment.
The Word contains secrets to a fulfilling life, laid out clearly for us to discover. We simply have to read it. He shows us how to stay on the right path and live right. He protects us in times of need and protects us from sin. He helps us to always speak the truth, even when we’re afraid.
No other Word carries the same power as God’s. God can transform a dull, useless life full of colour, flavour, and fun. By reading His Word, you’ll be equipped with everything you need to live life to the fullest.
