John 11:25-26 MSG “I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?”
Think of a video game where you can “respawn” after you die. Jesus’ power is like that, allowing us to live again after we die if we believe in Him. Jesus, who is life, will live forever. Because He lives, we live. Because He is life, we have life eternally.
If you keep looking at Jesus and His perfect sacrifice for our sins on the cross, you will always be confident of your eternal future. It’s when we look away that we stumble. Remember God’s promise never changes – we have fullness of life in Him.
Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope for the future.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, You are my hope. I cling to You when I cannot see a better future or a way out. Please comfort my heart and assure me that You are the one true thing. Amen.
