‘And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,’ – Luke 1:76-77
All humans are sinners. Somewhere in your life, you have sinned. Sin is disobeying God. The bad news is that we cannot save ourselves from sin. The good news is that God has already provided for it through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Salvation is the release from sin, the power of sin, and the consequences of sin. Salvation means that you ask Jesus to wash you clean. After that, you live free from the consequences of sin because you have been freed by Christ’s blood.
It doesn’t matter how bad you think your sins are, how far you’ve wandered, or how deep you are in the hole… Jesus always has a way out for you.
He waits patiently.
He wants to forgive you.
He is willing to deliver you.
You have to be willing to accept Him as your Savior and confess your sins. After that, Jesus is faithful. He forgives you and shapes you. He makes you a new creature.
He Paid The Price
Prayer: Lord, thank you for Your mercy. Thank you for coming to die on a cross for me out of love. Thank you for waiting patiently for me. Thank you for being willing to forgive all my sins. Work in my heart to be free because You are my Savior. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Challenge: Examine yourself and consider whether you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior and whether He has already freed and washed you clean from all your sins.
