When we are young, we rely on adults for guidance and protection. We can’t make decisions for ourselves yet, even though we sometimes think we can.
As we grow older, we learn valuable lessons about right and wrong and the consequences of our choices and deeds. The right route isn’t always the easy one to take, but when our relationship with God is strong, we can face any obstacle on our journey.
The more we are tuned in to the Holy Spirit and His guidance, the easier it is not to be affected by the world. The more we know Him, the more we will live and act like Him.
Growing
Prayer: Jesus, I don’t want to be blown back and forth like a small tree in the wind. I want to stand firm in Your truth. I realise that this is only possible when I truly know Your Word. Help me to get to know You better each day so that I can know what You would do in every situation. Amen.
Challenge: Make a point of learning more Bible verses. Write the verse in a booklet and read it throughout the day so that you can say it by heart.
