‘Who will not stand in awe of you, Lord? Who will refuse to declare your greatness? You alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship you, because your just actions are seen by all.”’ – Revelation 15:4
We often take God’s holiness for granted or overlook it daily. We may understand the concept of holiness, but we may not fully grasp what it means for us personally. In Revelation 15:4, we read, “Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
God’s holiness is not just an attribute or characteristic of His but also a part of His very nature. His holiness makes Him perfect and separates Him from all other things. His Holiness also draws us closer to Him and reminds us of our need for a Savior.
You should approach Him with reverence and awe when you think about God’s holiness. You should acknowledge your own sinfulness and your need for His forgiveness. You cannot stand in the presence of a holy God without the covering of Christ’s righteousness.
Remember His holiness as you seek to grow in your relationship with God. Let’s recognize and appreciate that He is perfect, pure, and righteous. Also, remember that through faith in Jesus, you can approach God’s throne with confidence and boldness.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for Your holiness. Please help me to approach You with reverence and awe. Thank you for sending Your Son to make me come to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge: Today, take some time to reflect on God’s holiness. Ask Him to reveal areas of your life that need to be purified. Thank Him for the gift of salvation, which allows us to come into His presence despite our sinfulness.
