How many times have you ever come home after a long day and your parents just forgot to give you food? Of course there are situations where food is not always available, but it never really happens that we forget about food. When we get hungry, we have to eat.
Then why are we so afraid sometimes that God will forget about the things we need? Isn’t God so much wiser and more loving than us? Can not God remember and understand so much more than us? Jesus must remind the people in our verse that God knows of our needs.
This is really good news for us, but also news that is fairly obvious. God knows what we need and He will take care of us. We do not have to worry that God will ever forget about us or our needs.
God does not forget about our needs.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You know my needs and that You teach me every day in how to trust You. I pray that I will remember that You are close to me and that if I have a need, that I can talk to You about it too … Amen.
