Fruit of the Spirit: Joy

📖Psalm 16:11 “You will fill me with joy in your presence.”

The Holy Spirit inside you helps and equips you to bear fruit. The second fruit after love is joy. Remember that there is a difference between happiness and joy. True joy is what you feel welling up inside yourself. Joy is like the sun itself, always there even when it is behind the clouds. Although there might be a dark cloud hanging over you, you can still find abundant joy in the presence of the Lord. 

The prodigal son found joy in his father’s house. Paul and Silas sang while they were in prison. Rejoice in the Lord, I repeat, rejoice!

📌 In easy and difficult circumstances, in the darkest dark and in the brightest light, find your joy in the Lord. 

🙏 Prayer: Our heavenly Father, You are the Farmer and I am the tree. Let my branches hang so low that it’s easy for others to pick the fruit of joy from my life. Thank you for being my source of true joy. Your joy makes me smile and laugh out loud. Amen.

🔥 Challenge: Identify the people or things that want to steal your joy daily. Also consider the joys that the Lord wants to give you.
