Follow Where Jesus Leads

‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.’Romans 3:23-24

It doesn’t feel good when we realise that we have, once again, sinned. It turns into a feeling that we are only disappointing God (and ourselves!). We all want to be better and live better, but how do we do that when we’re burdened with these feelings of guilt?

Everybody sins – every single person. This verse doesn’t say this to make excuses or to say that it’s okay to sin because everybody does it. No, this verse actually reminds us that we’re all just human and that it’s due to the grace of Jesus that we’ve been freed!

Nothing that we do can ever save us from our own sins – only Jesus.

So, what do you do when, once again, you’ve sinned? You go and sit at the feet of Jesus, once again, and allow Him to work in your life. We are constantly on a journey with Jesus.

Follow Where Jesus Leads

Prayer: Lord, I sin, in small and insignificant ways. However, You are the almighty Savior and Redeemer, and I always want to trust You. Forgive all my sins and direct my life so that I can move closer to You, even though I sometimes turn away. Thank you for Your mighty grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenge: Be kind to yourself and others who sin – look at yourself and others with the eyes of God. Confess your sins, lay them before Christ and allow Him to work more deeply in your life.
