📖 Proverbs 18:24 “There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.”
In today’s day and age, the goal is to have many friends or “followers” on social media. The more people you hang out with, the more popular you are, right? Today’s verse reminds us that quantity does not always mean quality. Not everyone who calls themselves your “friend” will stand by you when life gets tough.
Then you get “fair-weather” friends. They are the ones who are only there for the good times and will not stand by you in the bad times. Make sure you have at least one true friend in your life, who has God in their heart, who is there for you and becomes like family.
đź“Ś One true friend is worth more than a thousand of fake friends.
🙏Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to choose my friends wisely and make me the kind of friend who reflects Your love. Show me how to build friendships that honor Your name. Amen.
🔥 Challenge: Make a list of 5 good friends and write next to each how they support you. Are they good for you? Are you good for them? Does Jesus live in your friendship?
