‘If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own. But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the world hates you.’ – John 15:19
Ask yourself this question: Am I trying to fit in with the world so I won’t be rejected?
None of us like rejection; we want to be part of a circle of friends or a group, but it can sometimes mean that we act as if we love the world and not God.
Should we try to fit in with the world? NO! Choose God over the world. In John 15 verse 19, the Lord warns us that the world will hate you, yes, but He also says He has chosen YOU.
On earth, you may experience hate, which will be challenging, but God’s infinite love makes up for it. Even though the world hates me, I know God loves me, and I don’t have to fit in with the world.
In a way, I now prefer the world to hate me because I know God chose me, and I Him. Remember, fitting in means being who you were not made to be and being what others want you to be. So, do not fit in!
Even Though The World May Hate Me
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you that I know that I should not fit in with the world. Even though the world might hate me, I know Your love is infinite, and I don’t have to worry about it. I choose You over the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenges: Notice today how many times you want the world’s acceptance. Change those choices by choosing God, not the world.
