2 Corinthians 5:16
16 From this time on we do not think of anyone as the world does. In the past we thought of Christ as the world thinks, but we no longer think of him in that way.
Have you ever argued so hard with someone else and then you discovered something that changed your opinion? Sometimes we discover something mind-blowing and it changes the way that we look at things.
Did you know that Jesus wasn’t very popular to a lot of the Jewish people when he was living on earth? Many thought he was a bit of a crazy person and that he was spreading all kinds of lies about who God is. One of them was Paul, who actually killed many Christians before he discovered who Jesus really was.
When we discover who Jesus really is, it changes our whole way of seeing things around us. We start to see the way that God sees. And it also changes the way that we live – because we know that God has so much love for us and everyone around us.
Encountering God changes how we live!
Prayer: Dear God, you know every single part of me, and you have shown me who you are through the life of Jesus. Help me to also see the world in new ways and to live out Your love to the people around me.
