Do you know how special you are to God?
He created you just the way you are. Psalms start by saying “God likes you a lot”. Jeremiah 1:4-5 says: “He knew you even before you were created in your mother’s womb”. Matthew 10:30 says: “He knows the amount of hairs on your head”. And in Isaiah 43:1 God says: “I’ve called your name. You’re mine.”
Isn’t it wonderful to know this? You are not here by chance. God created you with a purpose. He wants you to honour Him in everything you do.
You belong to God, completely. Go into the new year knowing that God is with you. Hold onto Him tightly.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the privilege to go into the new year with You, even though it is so unfamiliar what’s ahead. Thank You for loving me first and that I can be Your child. I know You know me completely and that is such good news for me! Thank You for being near to me. Amen.
Challenge: You’ll need a pen and a journal for this one: Pray and ask the Lord to show you what your purpose is here on earth. Write down or doddle whatever comes up in your mind. Listen to His voice. Live fully for Him!
