Balance In An Unbalanced World

‘In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we command these people and warn them to lead orderly lives and work to earn their own living.’ – 2 Thessalonians 3:12

The alarm sounds, signaling the start of another day. It’s a cycle of completing school obligations. From schoolwork to homework, test series to sports, and engaging in cultural and extracurricular activities, the day fills up swiftly. Amidst this rush, there’s barely a moment to discover oneself. By the end of the day, there’s a brief window for leisure on platforms like WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, and Netflix.

Doesn’t this mirror our lives quite accurately? Little room remains for family, friends, and our spirituality. And even if some time appears, exhaustion prevails. While this might seem acceptable, the reality is that over time, a sense of emptiness creeps in, regardless of how much we accomplish.

Yet, it’s crucial to recognise that neglecting our connection with our divine Father results in this emptiness. Our lives crumble, depriving us of time and energy for other pursuits. Establishing God as the cornerstone, the pivotal force, rebalances our lives. The solution is simple: prioritise Him.

Balance In An Unbalanced World

Prayer: Dear Lord, we seek Your forgiveness for prioritising worldly matters above You. Grant us the strength to place You first. We’re grateful that our lives find alignment and joy through this choice.

Challenge: Remember the significance of placing God at the forefront today. Dedicate time to connect through Bible study and worship. Embrace your personal way of communion, even if it means a previous entertainment episode. The rewards will be immeasurable. Blessings.
